We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Team Leader – Community Development to join our growing team. This role leads a team of staff and volunteers delivering high quality community development and settlement programs for people from refugee backgrounds. The Role
The Team Leader – Community Development provides day to day leadership, supervision and support to staff and volunteers delivering a varied program of settlement, community development and engagement activities.
You will ensure programs are delivered safely, effectively and in alignment with organisational policies, quality standards and continuous improvement practices. You will also strengthen stakeholder relationships, support staff, and provide informed advice to the General Manager.

You are an empathetic, organised and confident leader who thrives in a dynamic, community focused environment. You bring strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity and a commitment to empowering refugee communities.
Essential Experience & Qualifications




Minimum 3 years' experience in leadership or team supervision
Minimum Diploma in Social Work, Community Services, Social Sciences or related field
Experience supporting diverse teams of staff and volunteers, including those with lived experience
Strong understanding of systemic barriers affecting refugee and CALD communities
Experience with client management systems, data reporting and documentation
Excellent communication, time management and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
Demonstrated empathy, cultural awareness and human centred practice
