About the Role
iDuct is seeking an experienced and motivated
Sheet Metal Worker
to join our growing manufacturing team in Regents Park. You will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality HVAC ductwork, plenum boxes and custom sheet metal components for commercial and residential projects across Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret workshop drawings, specifications and production schedules to manufacture sheet metal products.
Measure, mark, cut and shape sheet metal using hand tools and fabrication machinery.
Operate guillotines, folders, rollers, presses and other sheet metal equipment to produce ductwork and HVAC components.
Assemble and fabricate ductwork,
plenum boxes and related sheet metal products to required specifications.
Perform welding, riveting and other joining techniques where required.
Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
Carry out finishing work, including grinding, filing, cleaning and preparing products for dispatch.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment while following workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist with repairs, modifications and custom fabrication work as required.
Select and prepare appropriate sheet metal materials, ensuring dimensions and specifications meet production requirements.
Skills and Experience
At least
one year of relevant full-time experience
in sheet metal fabrication or HVAC duct manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
Experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a manufacturing team.
Valuable communication skills and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
