About
The
Associate Director, Asset Management Assurance
is responsible for driving improvements in the performance and management of government assets across the NSW public sector. The role works collaboratively with agencies to drive asset management improvement initiatives, lead asset management assurance reviews, and provide high-quality analysis and strategic advice to support decision-making by Ministers and Cabinet.

Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:
Lead asset management assurance activities, including the assessment and review of agency asset management artefacts against relevant policies, standards, and best practice requirements.
Drive improvements in asset management maturity across agencies by supporting implementation of the NSW Asset Management Policy, managing associated guidance materials, and facilitating communities of practice and knowledge-sharing forums.
Build and maintain solid stakeholder relationships across the NSW Government portfolio, Infrastructure NSW, independent experts, and industry partners.
Lead and contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of strategies, programs, policies, and procedures to strengthen asset management assurance outcomes.
Provide high-quality, independent advice on infrastructure and asset management matters, and lead the preparation of reports, briefings, and recommendations for government agencies, the Infrastructure NSW Executive, Board, Ministers, and Cabinet.
About You
As an Associate Director, Asset Management, you will bring tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as engineering, commerce, finance, public policy, or equivalent professional experience in a similar role. You will demonstrate strong knowledge of ISO ***** and/or public sector asset management, along with extensive experience developing and implementing strategic frameworks, processes, and procedures in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
You will possess highly developed analytical and critical thinking skills, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive policy implementation within complex and evolving environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality reports and provide clear strategic advice, are essential.
