We are seeking an experienced nursery retail assistant to provide inviting, friendly customer service to our consumers. Our ideal candidate will have in-depth horticultural knowledge applicable to Toowoomba and surrounds gained through training and/or work experience in the region and will be able to demonstrate excellent personal skills.
Responsibilities will include –
Responding to customer queries
Opening and closing as per procedure
Maintaining a healthy nursery ecosystem
Growing and maintaining trees, shrub and flower stock
Creating attractive plant and sale displays




Monitoring weather conditions to maintain plant health
Requirements
Technical training in horticulture, agriculture, landscape or similar field
3+ years recent work experience in horticulture, landscaping or similar field
Detailed knowledge of plants, soil, fertilisers and growing techniques
Professional and friendly with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service
Responsible and punctual
Familiarity with POS and stock ordering systems
LR License advantageous
Our business operates seven days a week so a roster including weekend work should be expected.
