About The Role
Welder / FT – Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
This role allows you to be a vital part of our main production site of our business, manufacturing high quality heavy and sheet metal products. You will be working in a small team, reporting to the site Production Manager.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenges of welding, having a meticulous work ethic, continuously meeting and exceeding targets and always looking for ways to improve efficiency and innovative ideas.
Responsibilities
Follow quality control procedures to ensure adherence to AS****, Burwell design and Burwell welding procedures.
Follow quality control measures to ensure that all welding work meets industry standards and customer specifications.
Conduct regular inspections of welding processes and finished products.




Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed in the workshop and promote a culture of safety.
Address any issues or challenges that arise during the production process.
Maintain and inspect welding equipment, tools and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition
Encourage and facilitate innovation within the team, seeking ways to improve processes and increase productivity, and improve design through feedback to Engineering
Best practice equipment implementation and work practices to support KPIs.
To support and implement design changes.
Wear appropriate PPE at all times
Work closely with engineers, supervisors and other team members to ensure project requirements are met
Handle and store materials properly to prevent damage and maintain material integrity
Ensure an organized and clean work area to promote efficiency and safety
What You'll Need To Succeed
The ability to work within a team with a positive approach to challenges
Comfortable with computers and learning new systems
Trade qualification of Metal Engineering & Fabrication (MEM****) or equivalent.
A commitment to following safe working practices
Understanding of AS****.
Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Minimum of 3-5 years of welding fabrication experience required.
Desired but not required to be competent in fabrication tooling (TIG, MIG, OXY cutting, rolling, press, guillotine, plasma)
Required to pass a internal pressure vessel welding test
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
