About the Role
The Senior Pricing Analyst supports the pricing of general insurance products using data analytics, statistical modelling, and customer insights to drive sustainable and profitable business growth.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Analyse and interpret internal and external data to support pricing decisions for general insurance products.
Develop and maintain pricing models using GLMs, machine learning, geographic, natural perils, and data science techniques.
Provide pricing insights and recommendations to stakeholders and implement pricing changes while assessing portfolio impacts.
Monitor model, portfolio, and pricing performance, and enhance pricing processes, infrastructure, risk management, and reporting.
Support customer complaint remediation and provide analytical guidance and mentoring to junior analysts.
About You
Demonstrated experience in the general insurance industry, with pricing experience highly regarded.
Strong knowledge of Australian general insurance products and proficiency in
SAS, SQL, Python, or R
, with experience using




Tableau or Power BI
.
Demonstrated experience developing advanced pricing, statistical, and data science models.
Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Degree in mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline, with excellent organisational, time management, and stakeholder management skills.
