Job Details
Permanent, Full time 35 hours, 5 days/week
$135,771 to $148,770 + Super + Car
Moore street
Lead the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of Council's building infrastructure and essential services. This role is responsible for managing capital works and maintenance programs, ensuring Council-owned facilities are safe, compliant and well-maintained. The position provides strategic leadership in asset lifecycle planning, financial forecasting and organisational planning, while ensuring all building assets meet relevant legislative and statutory requirements.
About You
Qualifications in Building Construction, Project Management, Facilities Management or a related discipline, supported by relevant trade qualifications, a current Class C Driver's License, Senior First Aid Certificate and White Card.Extensive experience delivering building projects, facilities management, capital works and maintenance programs across local government, government and/or private sector environments.
Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, procurement and tendering processes.
Demonstrated expertise in asset management, budgeting, financial planning, statutory compliance, essential fire safety services and construction site management.
Sound knowledge of development and certification processes,
strategic asset planning, community consultation and design review.
Strong understanding of the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards, Local Government legislation, WHS, risk management and project management principles.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and programs within budget, timeframe and quality requirements.
