About the Role
As an experienced
Telecommunication Rod & Rope and Cable Hauling technician
, you will be responsible for supporting telecommunications projects in the field and delivering work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
Rod and rope activities and the installation of optical fire cabling
Operating a vacuum excavator
Locating and repairing blockages
Site clean-up and reinstatement
Supporting and coaching less experienced team members
Completing start cards, traffic management setup and dig permits
Fibre jointing and splicing for suitable candidates
About You
We are looking for hardworking, dependable team members who take pride in their work and contribute positively to the team, you will have/be:
Full Australian working rights or be a permanent resident
Prepared to undertake additional works as requested
Proven experience in cable hauling
Able to locate and repair blockages
Valid Driver's Licence / White Card / current Police Clearance
Current First Aid and CPR and hold an MR drivers licenseExperience implementing traffic management plans
Pit and Pipe certification would be highly regarded
White card
QLD traffic management implementation (TMI)
First Aid and CPR
Pit & Pipe installation and cable hauling
Ability to read site plans
Previous experience operating Vac Trucks
Underground asset location
Strong understanding across data and fibre networks
Candidates will need to be prepared to:
Stay away in various locations North, East and South of QLD
Undertake appropriate training courses and inductions as required
Participate in competency reviews
