About the Role...
Are you an experienced event professional who enjoys bringing plans to life and delivering high-quality event experiences?
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Stadium Event Planner to support the planning and delivery of stadium-related events at Sydney Showground and ENGIE Stadium.
This role is responsible for planning and coordinating arrangements for assigned stadium events, working closely with clients, hirers, suppliers, contractors and internal departments to ensure events are delivered successfully and to a high standard.
You will assist with preparing event schedules, event orders, operational documentation, brief sheets, event plans and post-event reports, while ensuring key event information is captured and communicated to relevant teams.
The role will also involve acting as a venue liaison for event-related requirements,
supporting site inspections, assisting with pre and post event operational meetings, coordinating with stakeholders such as SOPA where required, and helping to resolve operational or client-related issues.
In addition to event planning, you will support stadium operations, including venue inspections, event day requirements, safety briefings, contractor coordination, front of house functions, crowd management, staffing administration and WHS compliance.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, works well under pressure and is comfortable working event-driven hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
About you...
You are a confident and organised event professional who enjoys working in a fast‐paced venue environment. You build strong relationships, communicate clearly and take pride in delivering events that meet client expectations and operational requirements.
You are proactive, adaptable and calm under pressure, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, work with different teams and respond quickly to changing event needs.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
Tertiary qualifications in Venue Management, Event Management or a related field
Current Class C Driver's Licence
Strong verbal and written communication skills
An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
An appreciation of diverse events and client needs
Ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams
Robust organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to work productively in a high‐pressure, event‐driven environment
Confidence using Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using Momentus Event Business Management System, AutoCAD or Event Draw
3+ years' industry experience
Previous experience working on major events
Previous experience in ushering and/or crowd management
Responsible Service of Alcohol competency certificate
Senior First Aid certificate
