Sonoco Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Despatch Coordinator to join our team in Virginia, Queensland. This full time role will be responsible for coordinating the efficient and timely dispatch of goods from our warehousing and distribution centre.
What you'll be doing
Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of outbound freight to customers
Liaise with customers, transport providers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of goods
Operate warehouse management systems to process and track orders
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all dispatched goods
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the despatch function
Assist with inventory management and cycle counting activities
Provide support to the broader warehouse and logistics team as required
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a despatch or logistics coordination role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehousing environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Robust computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems
Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team-oriented workplace
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
