Role Summary:
The Omoda Jaecoo Technical Trainer will lead the in development of programs for all productive staff throughout the dealer network to support technician knowledge of ICE, hybrid and BEV technology.
The role requires the creation and subsequent delivery of training information modules that increase the skill and effectiveness of automotive Apprentices, Technicians and Service Advisors.
This ensures attendees maintain up-to-date familiarity of vehicle design and function, diagnostic procedures, repair methods and OEM prescribed operational standards.
A critical success factor is in the timely design, drafting, compilation and execution of course content as an integral part of the customer ownership experience through ensuring consistent repair quality.
The corollary being enhanced capability to fix-it-right-first-time, effectively prepare for new model releases and maximise customer satisfaction with a rapidly growing automotive brand.
The establishment and subsequent development of an expanding dealer network demands specialist support. Focused on ensuring sustainable growth, the role partners closely with internal teams to communicate Omoda Jaecoo operating standards, optimising procedures and measuring key performance metrics. The Technical Trainer provides input to such areas as service process, competency, ensuring dealers are best equipped to meet commercial goals and uphold strong brand values. The role demands organised discipline,



relationship building and knowledge of retail operations to aid in effective delivery of aftersales support through the national dealer network.
Role Responsibilities:
Act as lead custodian responsible for the management of all technical training content.
Design and deliver classroom, workshop and online technical training programs.
Develop training materials, presentations, reference guides and practical assessments.
Conduct F2F learning forums utilising vehicles, mechanical componentry and diagnostic tools.
Evaluate trainee competency via practical and theoretical evaluation.
Measure, report and maintain training results and effectiveness.
Identify skill gaps and document remedial action plans.
Oversee OEM technician certification and accreditation pathways.
Coordinate the annual skills-based global assessment competition.
Disseminate issues and warranty events identified in the field into remedial countermeasures.
Ensure all training is compliant with workplace health and safety requirements and regulation.
Manage the LMS database including accurate record keeping and compliance adherence.
Remain current with auto technology trending including propulsion, connectivity and safety.
Training System Administration & Reporting:
Learning Management System(LMS): Administer the LMS, including managing user access, course enrolment and maintaining the integrity of all training related data.
Learner Support & Query Resolution:Serve as first-level support for learner enquiries (login, enrolment), escalating unresolved technical or content queries to the vendor as required.
Performance Reporting: Generate and distribute detailed reports on training completion rates, learner engagement, LMS usage and key metrics related to training effectiveness.
Data Hygiene: Review and reconcile LMS data regularly (duplicate records, inactive learners, outdated courses) to maintain integrity and accuracy for reliable referencing and reporting.
Training Logistics Coordination & Support:
Training Calendar Management: Assist in the control and maintenance of the network training schedule, coordinate logistics, plan and communicate all future training activity.
Learner Journey Progression: Assist to measure and manage learner journey progression within the LMS, focusing on data collection and reporting as required.
Dealer Training Program Administration: Coordinate logistical requirements for set training programs including resource preparation, venue assessment and attendee communication.
Training Content & Delivery Execution:
Content Upload and Maintenance:



From leadership direction, coordinate finalisation, format and upload of course content, e-Learning product modules and learner journeys to the LMS.
Material Preparation: Assist in compilation and version control of approved training material to ensure accessibility in various formats as instructed.
Workshop Delivery: Deliver approved F2F workshops and interactive virtual classrooms when directed by the General Manager - Network Development.
Automotive service technical experience with an OEM or authorised dealership.
Expertise in technical training or learning and development.
Familiarity delivering structured training in both classroom (F2F) and virtual environments.
Knowledge of LMS platforms and web-based training applications.
Exceptional communication ability across multiple levels including Technicians and Managers.
Certificate IVin Training and Assessment.
Able to build collaborative relationships across all organisational levels to achieve results.
Use of clear, concise and targeted communication through active listening and understanding.
Customer centricity and empathy to meet expectations of the target audience.

To be Successful:
The role demands an organised individual with an interest in the automotive marketplace who will strive to achieve results while developing a disciplined & structured process for dealer engagement.
5+ years experience in a related OEM automotive role.
Tertiary qualification in a commercial discipline or related field.
Structured, logical and sequential thinking capability.
Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM, etc.
An empathetic approach, results-oriented with a desire to train and develop others.
