As the Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for optimising operational efficiencies through effective utilisation of equipment and resources, ensuring movement of freight in accordance with schedules and time deadlines.
We are more than happy to train someone up to do this role, so long as you have gained experience within logistics and/or supply-chain sectors.
What you'll do (duties/responsibilities including/not limited to):
Co-ordinate the allocation of workloads to maximise the effective use of all assets
Prepare, complete and maintain daily control and allocation of PUD fleet to ensure pick-ups are in line with customer requirements
Provide feedback to customers internal / external as required on status of pick up and deliveries
To ensure vehicles allocated to pick up dangerous goods comply with the Australian Dangerous Valuable Code
Ensure that where bulk dangerous goods are to be picked up, the driver is holder of the appropriate licence
Ensure compliance and contribute to the on-going development of Operational procedures and documentation consistent with the Toll Management System
At all times, ensure employees and contractors work in accordance with the established procedures and practices of the business.
What you'll bring to the Fleet Controller role:
Experience within logistics and/or supply chain sectors
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise workload and achieve results through people
Ability to visualise things from the eyes of the customerLateral thinker with hands on attitude
A sound ability to work under pressure and autonomously without direction
Driver's License
Transport & Distribution and or logistics qualifications (desirable/not essential)
