A large Australian organisation is seeking a Junior Finance Analyst to join its Brisbane based finance team.

Finance works closely with operational teams to provide meaningful reporting, commercial insights and analysis that support business performance. The Role
Reporting to a Finance Business Partner, this position offers a fantastic stepping stone into commercial finance.
You'll work across reporting, analysis and planning activities while supporting the wider finance team with accurate financial information and operational insights. The role provides exposure to month end, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, making it ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in commercial finance.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the preparation of financial and operational reporting
Supporting month end activities through reconciliations, data validation and analysis
Preparing variance analysis and investigating movements in financial performance
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting cycles across the business
Maintaining reporting templates and ensuring data integrity across financial information
Supporting finance and operational stakeholders with reporting requests and analysis
Contributing to reporting enhancements,



systems improvements and process efficiencies
Assisting with ad hoc commercial analysis and finance projects
About you
You're someone who enjoys working with numbers but is equally interested in understanding the story behind them. You're analytical, organised and enjoy using data to help support better business decisions.
Whether you've started your career in accounting, reporting or commercial analysis, you're looking for an chance that will broaden your exposure and develop your commercial skillset.
You will bring:
Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline
1-3 years' experience in accounting, reporting, finance or analytical roles
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables
Exposure to reporting, reconciliations or financial analysis
Experience working with ERP or financial systems
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business
A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop
