Bang Bang Byron Bay Restaurant is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Casual Team Leader to join our front-of-house team.

About the role
3–5 shifts per week (approximately 20+ hours, with additional hours available during busy periods)
Casual Level 3 position (the successful applicant may commence as a Waitstaff Level 2 depending on experience)

What we're looking for
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar hospitality leadership role
Several years of front-of-house hospitality experience
Confident hosting guests and delivering exceptional customer service
Ability to lead, motivate, and train team members while leading by example
Excellent multitasking and organisational skills
Calm, efficient, and professional under pressure in a fast-paced workplace
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards




Experience handling customer feedback and resolving complaints professionally
Reliable, punctual, committed, and proactive with a positive, can-do attitude
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both front and back of house teams
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Current NSW RSA (essential)
Wine, cocktail, and food knowledge, or a willingness to learn
Ability to confidently open and/or close the venue independently
Experience with cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation
Australian working rights
Intention to stay in the area for at least 8 months. Candidates looking for a long-term opportunity will be viewed favourably.
