We are now looking for anEcommerce Trade Manager – Onsite Trading & Merchandisingto join our Local Markets Ecommerce team.
This is a hands-on ecommerce trading role for someone who knows how to turn commercial priorities into strong onsite execution.
You will own the onsite customer experience for a defined market, including promotional planning, campaign execution, product merchandising, category presentation, site navigation and trading performance.
Where the Ecommerce Growth Manager sets the market strategy and commercial priorities, this role owns how those priorities come to life on site.
You will ensure campaigns, promotions, product placement and customer journeys are delivered clearly, commercially and effectively across key ecommerce touchpoints.
If you are an ecommerce trading, onsite merchandising or digital commerce specialist who enjoys working close to the customer experience, using data to optimise performance and partnering with multiple teams to drive conversion and revenue, this role could be a strong next step.
What you will do
Own onsite trade execution
You will own and deliver the onsite promotional calendar for your market, from planning and setup through to launch, optimisation and performance review.
You will ensure promotional activity is delivered accurately, on time and in line with commercial priorities, customer expectations and brand positioning.
Deliver campaigns across key onsite touchpoints
You will execute campaigns across homepage placements, category pages, product listing pages, landing pages, navigation, content areas and other key onsite locations.
You will make sure the site reflects current trading priorities and that customers can easily find the right products, offers and campaign messages.
Manage product merchandising and category presentation
You will own product merchandising decisions across your market, including product placement, category structure, sorting, filtering and navigation recommendations.
You will use trading data, customer behaviour, availability, margin, promotional priorities and category input to optimise product visibility and improve conversion and average order value.

Optimise promotions and commercial performance
You will manage promotional discounting within agreed commercial frameworks, balancing revenue growth, margin, customer acquisition and brand positioning.
You will review promotional effectiveness and make recommendations to improve future activity, including offer mechanics, onsite placement, product selection and customer journey improvements.
Monitor trading performance and act on insight
You will monitor trading performance across key ecommerce metrics, including revenue, conversion, AOV, product performance, category performance, promotional performance and onsite engagement.
You will identify opportunities to improve the customer journey, remove friction and optimise onsite performance.
Partner across local and global teams
You will work closely with Ecommerce Growth, Category Management, Buying, Brand Marketing, Pricing, Analytics, CRO and Performance Marketing teams to ensure onsite execution supports the wider commercial plan.
You will be a key link between commercial strategy and onsite delivery, helping turn growth priorities into transparent, accurate and effective customer-facing experiences.
Support testing and continuous improvement
You will support testing, optimisation and continuous improvement across the onsite customer journey.
You will bring ideas on how to improve campaign performance, product discovery, navigation, merchandising rules, promotional setup and site conversion.
What you should bring
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
5+ years' experience in ecommerce trading, onsite merchandising, digital trading, ecommerce management or a similar commercial ecommerce role.
Experience working with enterprise ecommerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, Shopify Plus or similar.
Proven ability to manage and execute promotional and trading calendars in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
Strong understanding of ecommerce performance levers, including conversion, AOV, product visibility, promotional mechanics, onsite navigation and customer journey optimisation.
Commercial confidence, with the ability to balance revenue, margin, customer experience and brand positioning.
Strong analytical skills, including experience using Google Analytics, dashboards, ecommerce reporting tools and spreadsheet-based analysis.
High attention to detail, especially when managing promotions, onsite content,

product placement and campaign execution.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and priorities at once.
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across local and global teams.
A continuous improvement mindset and curiosity about how AI and emerging technologies can improve ecommerce execution, efficiency and performance.
What good looks like
You will thrive in this role if you enjoy being close to the customer experience and can combine commercial thinking with excellent execution.
In this role, success means:
The onsite promotional calendar is accurate, timely and commercially aligned.
Campaigns launch clearly and effectively across the right onsite touchpoints.
Product merchandising supports revenue, conversion, AOV and customer experience.
Customers can easily find the right products, offers and category journeys.
Promotional mechanics are executed accurately and reviewed for effectiveness.
Trading performance is monitored closely and optimisation opportunities are acted on quickly.
Growth, Trade, Marketing, Category, Pricing and Performance teams are aligned on what is happening on site.
You bring ideas to improve site performance, not just execute what is already planned.
What we can offer you
Hybrid working model, with a blend of in-office and remote work.
Global bonus opportunity based on individual and company performance.
Exposure to a global ecommerce business and international market teams.
A hands-on ecommerce role with real ownership of onsite trading and merchandising.
