We are seeking an experienced and passionateSIL Team Leader – Clinical Careto provide operational leadership within our Supported Independent Living homes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled disability professional, Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Assistant in Nursing (AIN) and emerging leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional participant outcomes while developing and supporting frontline teams.
About the Role
TheSIL Team Leader – Clinical Careprovides operational leadership within a Supported Independent Living home(s), ensuring participants receivesafe, person-centred and high-quality supports.
Working closely with our Registered Nurse and leadership team, you will lead by example, mentor Disability Support Workers, coordinate daily service delivery and support a culture of clinical excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
You will play an important role in building workforce capability by supporting employees to deliver consistent, safe and high-quality care aligned with participant goals, organisational values and NDIS Practice Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and support Disability Support Workers.
Coordinate day-to-day SIL operations and participant supports.
Support protected delivery of high-intensity and complex care requirements.




Promote best practice, safeguarding and quality support delivery.
Assist with workforce development, clinical onboarding and competency support.
Coach employees through feedback, mentoring and role modelling.
Support accurate documentation, compliance and continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with our Registered Nurse, leadership team, families and allied health professionals.
Complex Care Experience
Our participants have complex and diverse support needs.
Experience supporting some or all of the following is highly desirable:
PEG feeding and enteral nutrition.
Epilepsy and seizure management.
Dysphagia and mealtime management.
BiPAP and non-invasive ventilation supports.
Manual handling, transfers and hoisting.
Infection prevention and control.
Medication management and clinical documentation.
High-intensity daily personal activities in line with NDIS Practice Standards.
About You
You will bring:
Experience supporting people with complex disability and high-intensity support needs.
Experience leading, mentoring or supporting disability teams.
Strong understanding of person-centred practice and safeguarding.
Excellent communication,



documentation and problem-solving skills.
Confidence working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and leadership teams.
A commitment to developing others and improving participant outcomes.
Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Assistant in Nursing (AIN) qualification.
Experience within Supported Independent Living (SIL) or other high-care environments.
Knowledge of contemporary NDIS practice and the SCHADS Award.
Applicants must have
Demonstrated experience within disability support services.
Experience supporting participants with complex disability.
Leadership or mentoring experience.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Evidence of the right to work in Australia.
A Certificate IV in Disability, Individual Support, Nursing or related qualification is highly regarded.
