Industrial Sewing Machinist – Mattress Manufacturing
We are a well-established mattress manufacturer based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, currently seeking an experiencedIndustrial Sewing Machinistto join our team.
This is a hands-on role, primarily responsible for thesewing and overlocking of mattress panels and other bedding components.
Working independently, you will also collaborate closely with the production team to ensure high-quality workmanship and meet production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Sewing, overlocking, and assembling mattress panels and covers using industrial sewing machines.
Cutting fabric to size and shape using simple patterns and templates.
Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Assisting the production team with related tasks as required.




Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the sewing area.
Reporting any machine faults or material issues promptly.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience operatingindustrial sewing machines and overlockers.
Ability toread and interpret basic patternsand specifications.
Solid attention to detail andcommitment to quality workmanship.
Goodcommunication skillsand a positive attitude.
Ability towork independentlyas well as contribute effectively within a team.
Goodtime management skillsand the ability to prioritize tasks.
Physically able, with the ability to performrepetitive manual workfor extended periods.
