CatholicCare Tasmania is the primary social services agency of the Catholic Church in Tasmania, delivering a broad range of services that support individuals, families and communities across the state.
With around 480 staff, the organisation provides essential services through a committed workforce united by shared values and dedicated to supporting vulnerable Tasmanians, strengthening families and enhancing community wellbeing.
Recently launching a rebrand, CatholicCare Tasmania is entering an exciting new chapter, continuing to modernise systems and processes, build organisational capability and support the delivery of high-quality services.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, the Head of People and Culture is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and continuously strengthening CatholicCare Tasmania's people and culture function.
Leading the People and Culture team, the role has responsibility for both strategic and operational aspects of the employee lifecycle and works closely with the Executive Leadership Team and leaders across the organisation to provide trusted advice, guide workforce initiatives and enhance organisational performance.




The role will also support change management initiatives and contribute to the development of leadership capability across the organisation.
The successful applicant will bring substantial senior People and Culture leadership experience, together with a solid understanding of contemporary workforce practices and employment legislation.
They will bring a collaborative and pragmatic approach, balancing strategic thinking with practical implementation while building strong relationships and influencing outcomes across a geographically dispersed workforce.
The role may be based at any CatholicCare Tasmania office across the state.
It will suit an experienced leader who is motivated by purpose-driven work and wants to help deliver on the organisation's mission and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Tasmanians.
