McIlwain Civil Engineering – North Sydney NSW
McIlwain are seeking aSenior Estimatorto join our Precontracts team on a full time basis.
This role is based at our newly established office inNorth Sydney, NSWand offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic civil engineering organisation.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the Precontracts team in planning, programming and estimating potential projects.
Conveniently located in North Sydney, McIlwain's NSW office is a short walk to both North Sydney train station and Victoria Cross metro station.
Responsibilities:
Program and plan work prior to pricing to ensure that time-related costs are correct
Manage preparation of non-priced schedules as required and complete accurate cost estimates for final reviews
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for tender pricing, using Expert Estimation and Excel for quote comparisons and to compare subcontract and supplied quotes
Read, understand and interpret supplier quotations to ensure that they comply with our requirements
Attend and participate in pre and post project debrief sessions
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, preferred
Minimum of 7 years experience in Estimation
Relevant industry experience in civil construction, highly desirable
Experience using Expert Estimation Genesis, Microsoft Project and Primavera, highly regarded
