ABOUT THE ROLE
We havefull-time positionsavailable, withcompetitive payaligned with the Retail Award Wage.
We may also offer part-time and casual roles for the right candidate, especially for those willing to work longer hours over Summers.
Availability Requirements
Candidates must be availableevery second Saturdayand duringbusy periods over summer.
Full-timerolesthat are ideal for those seeking a career in Optics.
We may also offer part-time roles, especially for those with Optics experience.
This is acustomer-facing rolein a fast-paced retail environment, where you'll be assisting patients and ensuring they receive outstanding service.Retail experience or Optical experience is preferred but not essential, as we provide comprehensive in office training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting patients withoptical screening tests
Helping our patientschoose glasses and contact lenses(optical dispensing)
Fitting and repairing glasses
Handlingbasic administrative tasks

Candidates require the ability to adapt to a busy retail environment, with constant interaction and relationship-building with patients and staff.
Ideal candidates will have:

Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new IT systems
A friendly, professional approach to customer service
A high standard of professionalism and personal presentation
The ability to work effectively within a team
Availability to workevery second Saturday
A desire to build a career in Optics (especially for full-time and part-time roles)
For Full-time staff, we are specifically looking for candidates interested inlong-term career growthwithin the optical industry, including enthusiasm for additional paid training opportunities (e.g., Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing).
