What you'll be doing:
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Climate Risk Policy Officer to join our team.
As the Climate Risk Policy Officer, you will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to develop and implement policies that strengthen our ability to respond to and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
Your work will be pivotal in implementing the climate risk assessment and developing robust metrics for climate risk reporting.
This position will be integral to embedding climate change adaptation into government decision-making processes that aim to safeguard communities, ecosystems and infrastructure from future bush fire impacts.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
Have proven experience in climate risk assessment, policy development and stakeholder engagement.
Possess solid communication and project management skills and an ability to translate complex climate data into actionable policies.
Be proactive, collaborative and passionate about addressing climate risk to enhance bush fire emergency response capabilities and community preparedness.
