Gold Coast Disability and Youth – Nerang QLD
Gold Coast Disability and Youth (GCDAY) is a medium sized disability support service specialising in ASD teens and young adults. We provide self and plan managed NDIS participants with a range of support options including individual support and group programs. We are an LGBTQIA+ friendly company with strong ties to the community and have a robust passion for inclusion of gender and sexually diverse clients and workers.
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic staffing/rostering officer to join our growing team on a permanent basis. As our staffing department is the first point of contact between our company and both our clients and our worker, we are looking for someone to join who can really embody the company's values.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who understands the needs of people with disabilities and can respond effectively to challenges as they arise. At GCDAY, our services play a vital role in our clients' lives, and we are committed to ensuring that every shift is completed successfully. We recognise that our clients' needs can sometimes be complex, and we approach each situation with resilience, sensitivity, and professionalism.
Availability:
Must be available to work minimum Full Time hours on Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Your Role:
Rostering support workers for one-on-one support, as well as group programs
Organising meet and greets/Group Trial shifts with new and existing clients
Managing incoming phone and email enquiries
Organising replacements for workers sick or on leave
We are looking for someone who can:
Maintain great a relationship/communication with our Support Workers
Speak directly with our clients and clients' parents to arrange shifts
Match our clients with the right Support Worker
Work in a fast paced but relaxed environment
Resolve issues/conflict quickly and professionally
Be proactive in following up Support Workers to ensure no shift remains vacant
Be friendly and approachable
Requirements:
High attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills.
Professional Phone Manner
Ability work under pressure, prioritise your workload, and meet deadlines
Ability to work in an LGBTQIA+ friendly, neurodiverse affirming environment while dealing with gender and sexually diverse clients and workers
Previous rostering in the disability sector experience preferred but not required
Willing to learn ShiftCare for rostering and scheduling
Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)
