The Role
We are looking to connect with Emergency Medicine Registrars interested in joining a high-volume department with established training pathways and broad clinical exposure.
This role offers experience in an Emergency Department managing more than 85,000 presentations annually, with exposure to adult and paediatric emergencies, trauma, acute medical presentations and procedural emergency medicine. Registrars work within a well-supported multidisciplinary team with increasing senior FACEM and Rural Generalist presence, providing accessible supervision and opportunities for progressive clinical responsibility.

This major regional referral service provides care to a population of more than 300,000 across regional Victoria and New South Wales. Confirmed service features include:
More than 85,000 Emergency Department presentations each year
Broad specialist support across medical, surgical, critical care and paediatric services
Significant Emergency Department redevelopment, including expanded treatment spaces and short stay capacity
Strong commitment to regional medical education and workforce development
Training & Development
Training is a key focus of this position, making it well suited to doctors seeking structured Emergency Medicine development in a regional referral environment.
Confirmed training opportunities include:




24 months of ACEM Emergency Department accreditation for ACEM trainees (TS1–TS4)
Weekly education aligned with ACEM curricula
Dedicated Primary and Fellowship teaching programs
Access to College-accredited Anaesthetic and ICU rotations
Excellent support for Workplace-Based Assessments (WBAs)
Protected paid non-clinical time for eligible senior trainees
Defined transition pathway for eligible senior registrars into Staff Specialist roles
Close consultant supervision with growing permanent FACEM staffing and strong multidisciplinary collaboration

Requirements
Eligible for registration with AHPRA
Suitable experience in Emergency Medicine
ACEM trainees are encouraged to apply
International Medical Graduates assessed as partially or substantially comparable are encouraged to make contact
International Medical Graduates (IMG's) via Standard and Competent Authority Pathway encouraged
