About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised
Planner / Procurement Officer
to support our maintenance operations and ensure the smooth coordination of maintenance activities across the business.
In this role, you will work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and coordinate daily and planned maintenance tasks, helping to ensure work is completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to operations. You will also be responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels of parts and materials, raising purchase orders, and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Duties and responsibilities include:




Reviewing and understanding equipment and machinery manuals to determine the standard operating procedures
Developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies and schedules
Coordinating with maintenance technicians to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure the completion of tasks within the stipulated time
Plan and schedule maintenance work based on demand, workload, skill set, and priorities
Estimating the time and resources needed for each maintenance job
Tracking the inventory of spare parts and ensuring their availability for routine and emergency maintenance
Monitor the use of materials and resources and aim to minimize waste.
Utilizing maintenance management software to record, track and analyze maintenance work
Preparing and presenting reports on maintenance activities and their effectiveness
Working with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary tools, equipment, and parts
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
