Ground Vegetable Picker and Packer - Bundaberg, QLD

Job Description
Our client is an industry leading agribusiness with sophisticated Vegetable operations located in Bundaberg, QLD. They are currently looking to fill 100 Ground Vegetable Picker and Packer positions across their farming site, with work commencing from July **** onwards. You will be required to work in a farming environment where weather conditions typically include cool mornings and hot days from late September through October and into November, with temperatures increasing rapidly.
Work is usually outdoors where you are required to perform repetitive tasks such as picking up pumpkins and melons or stacking boxes. You will be paid under Agri Labour Australia Horticulture Agreement **** - Level 2, at a minimum hourly rate of $***** per hour, with at least 120 hours of work, every 4 weeks of your placement. This will be aligned with the Fair
Work Commission's annual reviews, including any increases to the National Minimum Wage and minimum award rates of pay. You will be offered up to 9 months of work and potential to upskill into leadership roles. Key duties include:
Harvesting and packing melons, pumpkin and ground vegetables




Performing general farm labouring tasks as required
Working efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
Repetitive heavy lifting and stacking boxes
Outdoor work including hot, humid and wet weather.
Characteristics and Aptitudes: To be considered for the roles, it's important you meet the following criteria:
Comfortable working in an outdoor environment
Valuable communication skills and able to follow instructions
No asthma or dust allergies
Live locally or be happy to relocate to Bundaberg
Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Able to follow directions and work unsupervised whilst showing high levels of initiative
A team player and happy working with a multicultural team
