Assistive Technology & Wheelchair Technician
Join Thrive Lifecare and work on equipment that genuinely changes lives. We are looking for a motivated technician to fit, configure and service complex mobility equipment across Tasmania.
This is not a standard workshop role. You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, support clients directly, and solve real-world challenges with tailored solutions.
What you'll do:
Set up, configure and fit powered and manual wheelchairs and specialised equipment
Attend trials and fittings with clinicians to achieve the best client outcomes
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Deliver and install equipment in homes, hospitals and aged care facilities
Perform servicing, safety checks and preventative maintenance
Contribute to continuous improvement across products and processes
About you:
Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving ability
Confident working independently and as part of a high-performing team
Strong communicator,
comfortable working with clients and clinicians
Takes pride in getting the job done properly
Keen to build a long-term career in Assistive Technology
