About the Role
We are seeking an
experienced Plant Operator
to join a high‐performing operations team based in
Silverwater
.
This is a hands‐on, site‐based role working with
pumps, valves, and fluid transfer systems
in a
safety‐critical industrial environment
. The position is ideal for operators who are mechanically minded and comfortable working with
pressurised systems, bulk liquids, and structured procedures
.
This is a
temp‐to‐perm chance
, with a strong likelihood of transitioning into a permanent position after approximately 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor
pump and fluid transfer systems
Open and close valves to control
flow and pressure of liquids
Troubleshoot basic mechanical and process issues (e.g. pump trips / flow interruptions)
Operate
high reach forklift
(approximately 40% of the role)
Move
IBCs, drums,



and bulk materials
within a bonded warehouse
Perform routine operational checks and ensure systems are running efficiently
Follow all
SOPs, safety procedures, and PPE requirements
Support daily operations in a
high‐risk industrial environment
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in
industrial, manufacturing, or process environments
Exposure to
pumps, valves, fluid systems, or similar mechanical equipment
Mechanically minded with basic troubleshooting capability
High Reach Forklift Licence (essential)
with regular hands‐on use
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow strict procedures
Experience working in
regulated or high‐risk environments
Reliable, disciplined, and seeking a
long‐term opportunity
Compliance and Safety
Full PPE is provided and must be worn at all times
A police check will likely be required due to access to a bonded warehouse
Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures is essential
