We are seeking a reliable and experienced
Skilled Labourer
to support pipelayers in the delivery of civil construction projects. The successful candidate will assist with trench preparation, pipe installation, backfilling, compaction, and general site duties to ensure the safe and efficient progress of works.
This role requires previous experience in civil construction, with a strong understanding of trench safety, spotting for machinery, and the use of compaction equipment.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced
Skilled Labourer
to support pipelayers in the delivery of civil construction projects. The successful candidate will assist with trench preparation, pipe installation, backfilling, compaction,



and general site duties to ensure the safe and efficient progress of works.
This role requires previous experience in civil construction, with a strong understanding of trench safety, spotting for machinery, and the use of compaction equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pipelayers in the installation of conduits, stormwater, sewer, and water mains
Prepare trenches for pipe laying, ensuring correct levels and bedding
Operate compaction equipment for backfilling (e.g. Wacker packers, trench rollers)
Spot for excavator operators during trenching and lifting operations
Handle and position pipes, fittings, and materials as directed
Maintain a clean and protected work area, including trench shoring and barricading
Comply with site safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents
Support other general labouring tasks across the site as required
Qualifications and Experience:
·Minimum 1-2 years' experience in pipe laying for concrete stormwater pipes, PVC pipes, and HDPE lines.
·Excellent teamwork and leadership skills to supervise small teams.
·NSW Driver's Licence (mandatory).
·White Card (Construction Induction Card).
·Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality, defect-free work.
