Are you a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator who wants more than just a job?
Precision Metals Queanbeyan (PMQ) is looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our growing manufacturing team in Queanbeyan.
Yes, this is a hands on workshop role. You'll be fabricating, operating machinery, reading drawings and getting your hands dirty.
But we're looking for someone who wants to step up, take ownership and make a real difference.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be working across the full sheet metal manufacturing process, from interpreting drawings and CAD files through to CNC machining, fabrication and finishing.
You'll work with modern Amada CNC machinery, including laser and turret punch equipment, alongside our broader fabrication equipment.
You'll be working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, producing custom and precision components for a diverse range of projects.
The role will suit someone who is technically capable, practical and willing to get stuck in - but who also has the initiative and confidence to step up and become someone the team can rely on.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who:
Has solid experience in sheet metal fabrication
Can confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
Has experience operating CNC machinery
Has experience with or an understanding of CAD and manufacturing files
Has ideally worked with Amada laser/turret punch & pressbrake machinery
Can work accurately to tight tolerances
Has experience with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
Takes pride in producing quality work
Is prepared to make decisions and take ownership
Doesn't shy away from difficult jobs or challenging problems
Is willing to do the hard work when it's required
Can work independently without needing to be constantly directed
Is willing to help others and contribute to the broader team
Wants to learn, develop and take on more responsibility
A Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent experience is preferred.
Forklift and Australian driver's licences are advantageous.
