Global Rehabilitation Service (NSW) is currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Music Therapist to work with our friendly and supportive team of Health Professionals.The position is on a subcontractor basis with flexible hours to meet our client service needs and your other commitments.

We are seeking a passionate and compassionate music therapist to join our team working in various locations to support our clients with diverse backgrounds, including people with psychosocial and physical disabilities.

A regular day will see you:

Assess client needs and develop tailored music therapy goals and interventions

Facilitate engaging sessions using approaches such as songwriting, reminiscence, relaxation, rhythm activities, and active music-making

Adapt sessions to support residents with varying cognitive,



physical, and communication abilities

Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and clinical records

Collaborate with client, families, support coordinators and allied health teams to support person-centred care

Requirements for success

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in music therapy or a related field

Registration/certification with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) or equivalent

Experience in aged care, healthcare, or community settings (preferred).

Experience facilitating inclusive music programs and therapeutic activities

Understanding of planning, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration

Solid communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach to meet individual client needs
