Tate APAC are seeking a commercially astute Business Finance Manager to lead our Financial Reporting and Business Partnering function.
Working closely with executive leadership, sales, operations, project teams and the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for transforming financial information into meaningful insights that drive performance, improve profitability and support informed business decisions.
This is not a traditional accounting role. Rather than focusing on accounting transactions, reconciliations or compliance reporting, you will act as a strategic finance partner to the business, leading forecasting, planning, performance analysis and commercial decision support across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the annual budgeting process
Manage monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles
Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis
Partner with key stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy
Performance Reporting & Analysis
Deliver executive-level performance analysis and commentary
Identify key business drivers, risks and opportunities
Provide clear and actionable recommendations to management
Support executive and board reporting requirements
Commercial Finance
Partner with Sales teams to improve revenue quality and profitability
Analyse pricing, margins and customer profitability
Support business case development and investment decisions
Evaluate commercial opportunities and associated financial impacts
Operations & Project Finance
Partner with Operations and Project teams to improve financial performance
Analyse project profitability and operational efficiency
Monitor cost drivers and operational KPIs
Identify risks and opportunities impacting project and operational performance
Cash Flow & Working Capital
Own weekly cash flow forecasting processes
Monitor working capital performance across inventory, debtors and project cash flow
Analyse cash conversion and project billing performance
Support initiatives that improve cash generation and working capital efficiency
Business Partnering
Build strong relationships with operational and commercial leaders
Challenge assumptions and provide constructive financial insight
Support strategic and operational decision-making
Act as a trusted adviser to key stakeholders across the business
Lead and develop the Business Finance team
Build organisational capability in forecasting, commercial finance and business partnering
Drive a culture focused on performance improvement and accountability
Drive improvement in forecasting accuracy and reporting effectiveness
Support development of AI and business intelligence capabilities
Improve financial modelling and performance reporting frameworks
Promote data-driven decision making throughout the organisation
Collaboration with Financial Control
Work closely with the Financial Controller and Financial Control team
Ensure alignment between financial reporting and business performance reporting
Utilise financial results produced by Financial Control to drive commercial insight and recommendations
Support continuous improvement in financial and operational reporting processes
About You
You are a commercially focused finance leader who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, influencing business decisions and improving organisational performance.
You are naturally curious, analytical and proactive, with the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
CA or CPA qualified
8+ years' experience within:
FP&A;
Management Accounting
Commercial Finance
Business Partnering
Operational Finance
Experience leading finance teams and influencing senior stakeholders
Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, construction or project-based environments highly regarded
Strong financial modelling and forecasting capability
Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools
