Specialist Surgeon - Medical Receptionist
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to join Dr Angelo Preketes' practice in Penrith, NSW. This is a
part-time position
(4 days)
that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing administrative tasks, and supporting our clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care. This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency and professionalism of our practice.
Previous medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administration role
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Confident, professional, courteous demeanor and genuine commitment to patient care
A personable approach with face to face and over the phone customer service
Proficiency with practice management software and general computer systems
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work in compliance with privacy regulations
A reliable and punctual approach to work
Must be available between the hours of 7:30am - 6:30pm (Mon-Fri) (shifts will vary within these hours)
Key responsibilities




Being the face and voice of the clinic and the first point of contact for patients
Managing the reception desk and maintaining a clean, organised and professional environment
Processing patient payments and handling administrative billing matters
Preparing patient files and medical records for consultations
Scheduling appointments and managing the doctor's calendar efficiently
Assisting with general administrative tasks including data entry, filing and correspondence
Providing outstanding customer service and addressing patient queries with professionalism and empathy
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations and practice policies
