Vegies Unlimited specialises in Fruit & Vegetables. We have a retail outlet serving the general public and a wholesale depot where we pack orders for businesses such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, hospitals and accommodation camps.
You have the opportunity to become a valued member of our team as a Storeperson/ Forklift Driver.
Role Description includes but is not limited to:
Unloading pallets of stock and packing into cold room
Label incoming stock with batch codes
Quality control and stock rotation
Picking of orders for hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs
Cleaning & maintaining a neat & tidy work workplace
Manual handling and other warehouse duties are required
Hours of work
The position is casual with the chance to move to full time after a qualifying period
Early start required
Selection Criteria:
Food industry knowledge and experience (Fruit & Vegetable industry preferred)
Ability to multi-task
Reasonably fit as some heavy lifting is involved
Valid Forklift licence and experience
Special knowledge/skills that would be an advantage to the business
Ability to prioritise work
Ability to supervise staff
Delivery driving experience
Training and upskilling will be provided for the successful applicant.
