Service Advisor - CQ Diesel Fitting
CQ Diesel Fitting is seeking an organised, customer-focused and hands-on Service Advisor to join our Brisbane branch.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is ideal for someone with strong customer service, administration and workshop coordination experience within the diesel, automotive, transport or heavy equipment industry.
About the Role
As Service Advisor, you will act as the key link between our customers, workshop team and branch management.
You will assist with the coordination of daily workshop activities, keep customers informed throughout the repair process, prepare quotations and ensure jobs progress efficiently from initial booking through to completion and invoicing.
This is a varied role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer enquiries, service bookings and job follow-ups
Coordinate workshop scheduling and daily workflow
Communicate repair progress, additional work requirements and completion timeframes to customers
Prepare quotations, estimates and customer approval requests
Open, maintain and close workshop job cards
Work closely with technicians and workshop management to ensure jobs progress efficiently
Assist with parts identification, purchasing and supplier coordination
Review completed job information before invoicing
Maintain accurate customer,
vehicle and job records
Support the Branch Manager with general branch operations and performance
Help maintain strong customer relationships and service standards
Assist in resolving customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
Ensure company safety, quality and administrative procedures are followed
Contribute to workshop productivity, efficiency and profitability
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Workshop Controller, Leading Hand or in a similar customer-facing workshop role
Experience within the diesel, automotive, transport, agricultural or heavy machinery industries
Strong mechanical knowledge or an ability to understand repair requirements
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Experience preparing quotations and coordinating customer approvals
Good computer, administration and record-keeping skills
The ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities
A proactive, practical and team-focused attitude
A commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
A current Australian driver's licence
Trade qualifications or previous hands-on mechanical experience would be highly regarded but are not essential.
