LMATS is a leading Australian provider of materials testing, inspection and engineering services supporting major infrastructure, manufacturing and industrial projects across the country.
We are currently seeking a Materials / Welding Engineer to join our growing team in Silverwater, Sydney.
This role is suited to an engineer with experience in welding supervision, welding procedures and metallurgical testing.
Key Responsibilities
Perform welding supervision and inspection activities
Prepare and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
Coordinate and witness welder qualification tests
Support metallurgical and mechanical testing activities in the laboratory
Liaise with clients and ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements
Prepare technical reports and support QA/QC documentation
About You




Degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy or related discipline
Cert 10 in Welding Supervision or IWE / IWT qualification
Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of welding standards and inspection practices
Highly Regarded
NACE Level 1 or Level 2 certification
Experience working in a metallurgical or mechanical testing laboratory
Knowledge of welding QA/QC systems and inspection procedures
