We are looking for a results-driven
Regional HSE Specialist
to support the protected and compliant operation of our sites across the
Bowen Basin and Gailee Basin QLD
.
In this role, you will provide hands-on support, coaching, and leadership to operational teams to ensure alignment with our SHMS, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies, standards, and procedures across the region.
Lead investigations of incidents and support root cause analysis.
Provide strategic HSE support to regional leadership and operational sites.
Coach frontline leaders and personnel to embed a proactive safety culture.
Deliver HSE training, audits, and assessments.
Ensure compliance with Federal and State, Regulations and Standards.
Drive safety performance through data analysis, training, and employee engagement.
Facilitate environmental reporting and regulatory submissions.
Collaborate with site leaders on emergency preparedness and response planning.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent our business in HSE forums when required.
Manage health-related matters, including work and non-work-related injuries, ensuring appropriate support, reporting, and rehabilitation processes are followed

What You Bring




Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety (preferred)
Experience in a mid level or senior HSE role, ideally within explosives and dangerous goods (preferred)
Strong working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety, Environment, Explosive and Dangerous Goods Regulations
Strong working knowledge with the implementation and management of ISO ****, ISO***** and ISO***** (preferred)
Demonstrated success influencing HSE culture and improving performance across multiple sites
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Certification in HSE (e.g. ISO Lead Auditor, Training and Assessment) (preferred)
Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation
Relevant Security Clearance
Ability and willingness to travel frequently
