About the Role:
As an Immersive Experience Guide at Scenic World, you will be part of our Guest Experience team, creating memorable and meaningful experiences for visitors from around the world.
Combining exceptional customer service with engaging interpretation, education, and storytelling, you will play a key role in welcoming guests, assisting with enquiries, supporting queue management, and helping deliver a seamless and enjoyable visitor experience across the attraction.
Through every interaction, you will bring the stories of the Blue Mountains to life, ensuring guests feel welcomed, informed, and inspired throughout their journey.
Drawing on your knowledge of local history, First Nations culture, natural heritage, and the unique environment of this World Heritage-listed region, you will connect visitors with the landscape in ways that inspire curiosity, understanding, and appreciation.
Working across Scenic World's iconic attractions, including the ancient rainforest along our Valley Boardwalks, you will encourage guests to develop a deeper connection with nature through guided conversations, immersive experiences, and engaging storytelling.
By sharing insights into the region's ecology, biodiversity, conservation efforts, and sustainability initiatives, you will help foster environmental stewardship while creating unforgettable experiences that leave visitors with lasting memories of Scenic World and a greater appreciation of the Blue Mountains' cultural and environmental significance.
What You Will be Doing:
Create memorable and engaging experiences that bring the stories, landscapes, and wildlife of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains to life for guests from around the globe.
Welcome guests to Scenic World with a warm and professional approach, providing exceptional customer service from arrival through to departure.
Support the smooth operation of the guest journey by assisting with wayfinding, queue management,
attraction loading, and responding to guest enquiries across the precinct.
Engage and inspire a diverse range of visitors—including international travellers, multicultural groups, families, and school groups—through agile storytelling, interactive interpretation, and meaningful guest interactions.
Lead guided walks and immersive outdoor experiences through Scenic World's iconic rainforest, Valley Boardwalks, and attractions, fostering a sense of wonder, discovery, and connection to place.
Share fascinating insights into local history, First Nations perspectives, biodiversity, conservation, and sustainability, helping guests develop a deeper appreciation for the unique natural and cultural heritage of the Blue Mountains.
Adapt your communication style to connect confidently with both individuals and groups, creating experiences that are informative, inclusive, and memorable.
Champion environmental stewardship by encouraging responsible visitor behaviours and showcasing Scenic World's commitment to conserving the ancient rainforest for future generations.
Work collaboratively as part of the Guest Experience team to ensure every guest enjoys a safe, seamless, and outstanding Scenic World experience.
About You:
Excellent communication & guest engagement skills, with the ability to engage & inspire diverse audiences including international visitors, multi-cultural groups & school groups.
A confident & clear speaker
Ability to work independently
First aid certificate (can be obtained through Scenic World for successful applicants)
Strong knowledge of local area history, biodiversity, conservation & environmental sustainability
Multi lingual ability is desirable, but not essential.
Flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends & holidays, to accommodate tour schedules & visitor demand.
This position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physical stamina & mobility are essential for leading walking tours & outdoor activities.
