About the Role
As ourEducational Leader & Compliance Professional, you will provide leadership in both educational practice and service quality.
You will guide the educational direction of the service by developing engaging, child-led programs that reflect theMy Time, Our Placeframework, while also taking ownership of the service's compliance and continuous improvement systems.
Working closely with our team, you will collaboratively plan and implement high-quality Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs, collaborate with the team building their confidence in delivering meaningful learning experiences.
In addition, you will oversee the service's compliance responsibilities by undertaking theQuality Improvement Plan (QIP),Service Improvement Plan (SIP), risk assessments, policies and procedures, and ensuring the service meets the requirements of theEducation and Care Services National Law and Regulationsand theNational Quality Standard.
You will promote reflective practice, support Assessment and Rating readiness, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the service.
This is a hands-on position where you will lead by example,



working directly alongside the team and children as part of the daily program.
You will model best practice, actively engage with children, support team members in real time, and contribute to the day-to-day operation of both services.
Your experience will be visible on the floor, creating positive relationships, fostering a strong team culture, and ensuring high-quality educational practice is embedded in everyday experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Educational Leadership
Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs.
Collaboratively plan programs with educators, ensuring children's interests, agency and developmental needs are reflected.
Coordinate and organise resources, equipment and materials required for daily experiences and Vacation Care.
Lead by example through active participation in the daily operation of the service, working directly with children and educators to model high-quality practice, positive interactions and professional standards.
Incorporate programming and reflective discussions in our regular team meetings.
Promote child-led learning, inclusion, wellbeing, sustainability and multicultural perspectives throughout the program.
Coordinate exciting Vacation Care programs, including incursions, excursions and special events.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain the service'sQIP/SIPand support the implementation of identified goals to drive continuous improvement.
Review, update and create new risk assessments for excursions, incursions, activities and the service environment.
Regular review and maintenance of policies,



procedures and operational documentation to ensure compliance is up to date.
Ensure programming, documentation and practices comply with theEducation and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standard andMy Time, Our Place.
Support audit preparation and Assessment and Rating processes.
Work collaboratively with our team to identify areas for improvement and implement quality initiatives across the service.
About You
You are someone who:
Enjoys being a hands-on leader who is actively involved in the daily program and leads by example rather than from behind a desk.
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Has experience working within an OOSH or children's services setting.
Is highly organised with excellent time management skills.
Has experience developing engaging educational programs.
Possesses a strong understanding of compliance requirements within the education and care sector.
Is proactive, solution-focused and committed to continuous improvement in a team setting.
Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Essential Requirements
Diploma of School Age Education and Care, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent (Bachelor qualifications highly regarded).
Current NSW Working With Children Check.
Current First Aid (HLTAID012 or equivalent), CPR, Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management qualifications.
Current Child Protection training (CHCPRT025 or current approved equivalent).
Completion of the NSW Office of the Children's Guardian Mandatory Child Safe Training.
Current Safe Food Handling/Food Safety Certificate.
Demonstrated understanding of the Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme.
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current NSW Driver Licence and reliable transport (desirable).
