We are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Business Analyst with a strong Platform Operations lens to continue driving delivery across the My Optus App (MOA) portfolio, owning end-to-end feature delivery for high-visibility customer journeys including Service Tab, NBN Assist, and Fixed flows.
Beyond backlog and requirements ownership, this role carries accountability for the operational health of the platform — release governance, environment stability, defect management, and production readiness — ensuring features move from build through to a stable, supportable live state.
This role requires someone who can operate seamlessly across product ownership, business analysis, and platform operations disciplines: translating complex business needs into prioritised backlogs, while also maintaining the release, environment, and deployment discipline that keeps a high-traffic customer platform running reliably.

Given the scale and sensitivity of the MOA program, this role demands not just technical and functional capability, but established credibility with Optus stakeholders and a proven ability to operate independently within Optus's delivery and governance frameworks from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Own product backlog prioritisation, sprint planning, and quarterly roadmap alignment for MOA customer journeys
Translate business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in JIRA
Provide delivery leadership across discovery, build, test, release, and production support
Drive stakeholder engagement across consumer, digital, and technology domains
Partner with solution designers, UX designers, and architects on scalable solutions
Lead delivery planning, dependency management, and release coordination
Support SIT/UAT phases, defect triage, and production stabilisation
Embed analytics instrumentation and accessibility compliance across MOA features
Manage risks, dependencies, escalations, and delivery reporting to leadership
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and cross-functional workshops
Mentor Business Analysts and contribute to BA Chapter capability uplift
Platform Operations
Own release, environment, and deployment governance across ST, SIT, UAT, and NFT environments
Chair or contribute to defect triage forums, driving issues through to resolution and closure
Coordinate deployments across development, infrastructure, release, and testing teams to protect production stability
Monitor platform health post-release, managing production stabilisation and incident escalation where required
Apply ITIL and DevOps practices to strengthen release readiness, change management, and operational governance
Maintain executive-level reporting on platform status, release risk, and workplace readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
15+ years of techno-functional experience in telecom BSS/digital transformation programs, ideally within Australian telco environments
Demonstrated experience operating as both Product Owner and Business Analyst across multiple major releases
Strong understanding of Optus delivery processes,

customer experience priorities, and roadmap planning
Working knowledge of Optus legacy systems and the Amdocs ecosystem
Experience leading and mentoring cross-functional squads (7–20 members), including offshore/onshore delivery models
Strong command of Agile delivery practices, backlog management, and release governance
Proven track record in platform operations — environment management, defect governance, release coordination, and production stabilisation across large-scale programs
Solid grounding in ITIL and DevOps practices
IIBA certification (or equivalent) in Business Analysis
Excellent stakeholder and executive communication skills
Preferred Skill
IIBA Agile Analysis Certification
ITIL v3
DevOps Consulting (CA Technologies)
