Senior Pharmacist – Quality Use of Medicines
Ongoing, Full Time Role - 80 Hours per Fortnight with a Monthly ADO
Parkville location, with multiple transport options
Up to $123,905 base (prorated for part time) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About the Team
The Pharmacy department at Peter Mac provides a comprehensive patient-focused service, incorporating all facets of cutting-edge clinical pharmacy practice.
Specialised areas include antimicrobial stewardship, quality use of medicines, pharmacogenomics, clinical cancer informatics, medicines information, and clinical education.
The department has an ongoing commitment to practice-based research and offers opportunities for involvement to all staff.
About the Role
The Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) Pharmacist (1.0 FTE) is responsible for oversight and coordination of all medication safety in the organization in accordance with the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare.
This role includes monitoring prescribing trends, performing audits, and utilising and evaluating data to inform and drive medication safety and quality improvement initiatives.
The QUM Pharmacist works collaboratively with Quality and Safety and Precinct Partners, and represents the pharmacy department within the healthcare service.
About you
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated pharmacist to lead our Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) program within a collaborative team of medicines stewardship pharmacists, quality leaders and multidisciplinary clinicians.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation, influence practice, and lead initiatives that improve medication safety, governance and the quality use of medicines.
AHPRA registration, or be eligible for registration.
Well-developed organisation and prioritisation skills.
Demonstrated understanding of quality use of medicines principles and medication safety.
Previous experience in oncology pharmacy practice is highly desirable.
