Centre Director – Lead, Inspire & Grow With Us | Flexible Part-Time / Full-Time
Do you light up when you're mentoring an educator, welcoming a new family, or watching a team come into its own?
If leadership is where you feel most at home, we'd love to meet you.
We're looking for a warm, experienced Centre Director to lead our beautiful little 39-place service — a genuine home away from home on the border of Redfern, Moore Park and Surry Hills.
We opened just six months ago, so this is a rare chance to help shape a centre's character and future from its early days, with an experienced management team right beside you every step of the way.
The role starts as part-time ****** hours per week) with a natural path to full time as our occupancy grows — though we're happy to be flexible for the right person.
What makes this role different?
We think Centre Directors do their best work when they're free to lead — building a positive culture, growing the team, and getting to know the families and community around them.
So we take care of the rest.
Our team handles enrolments, accounts, payroll, recruitment, rostering, marketing and the day-to-day admin.
No chasing sick calls or juggling annual leave.
That leaves you free to focus on what you love:
Leading and mentoring your team
Championing a strong child safe culture where every child feels safe, valued and heard
Nurturing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Growing occupancy through community engagement and local partnerships
Building warm, lasting relationships with families
Maintaining high-quality educational practices
Supporting compliance, child protection, and quality improvement
About YouYou're an experienced Centre Director who:
Has a proven track record of leading an early childhood service well
Has grown occupancy and knows your way around business development
Genuinely enjoys getting out into the community,
networking and building real partnerships
Loves helping educators discover what they're capable of
Leads with warmth, positivity and authenticity
Communicates openly and builds relationships with ease
Knows the National Quality Framework, National Regulations, and Child Safe practices inside out
Puts the safety, wellbeing and protection of children at the heart of every decision
Cares deeply about giving children and families an exceptional experience
Holds a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or an ACECQA-approved equivalent)
What We OfferA rare chance to help a young, thriving centre grow
Dedicated admin support, so you can lead instead of drowning in paperwork
A supportive, approachable leadership team who genuinely have your back
The freedom to build a team culture that's truly yours
Ongoing professional development and leadership mentoring
A collaborative workplace where your ideas are heard and valued
A competitive salary package with performance incentives for the right person
Our commitment to child safetyWe are a child safe organisation, committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of every child in our care.
We uphold the National Child Safe Principles and expect every member of our team to share this commitment.
All successful applicants will be required to hold a valid Working with Children Check and complete our screening and reference process.
Demonstrated leadership experience is essential for this role
A valid NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) is required
Sponsorship may be considered for an outstanding candidate
If you're a warm, driven leader who loves building great teams, connecting with community, and growing something special from the ground up, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.
Come help us create an early learning community where children, families and educators all flourish together.
