Technical Writer - Short-Term Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join a leading beverage manufacturing operation based in Swanbank on a short-term contract.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in technical documentation within manufacturing, production, engineering, or FMCG environments who can quickly engage with stakeholders and develop clear, accurate operational documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and training materials for beverage manufacturing and packaging operations.
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to accurately document processes and procedures.
Translate technical and operational requirements into transparent, concise, and user-friendly documentation suitable for shop-floor personnel.
Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.




Work with subject matter experts to capture process knowledge and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure all documentation aligns with site standards, quality requirements, and operational best practices.

About You
Previous experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, or similar role.
Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food and beverage, packaging, engineering, or industrial environments highly regarded.
Robust written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
Excellent attention to detail and document control skills.
Ability to engage with stakeholders across multiple departments and levels of the business.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
