We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly team at The Ginger Factory in Yandina. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a busy cafe environment.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a cafe, restaurant, or similar rapid-paced kitchen workplace
- A team player with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and pride in delivering consistent, high-quality meals
- Looking for 35 hours per week and available to start immediately or by negotiation
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to maintain quality and presentation during busy service periods
- Confident preparing and cooking menu items, following food safety standards, and keeping the kitchen clean and well organised
- Available on a 7‑day rotational roster,



including weekdays and weekends, with no night shifts
- Gelato churning experience, or willingness to undertake onsite training as a churner
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery preferred, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook cafe menu items to a high standard
Support smooth daily kitchen operations during busy service periods
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
Assist with stock rotation, ordering input, and minimising waste
Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen team
