What You Will Be Doing
Supervising day‐to‐day workshop operations and leading a team of tradespeople, apprentices, and workshop personnel
Planning and coordinating labour, resources, and workflow to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements
Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS policies and procedures
Monitoring productivity, quality, and operational performance across the workshop
Interpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
Identifying and resolving operational issues while maintaining workflow efficiency
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation
Assisting the Branch Manager with operational planning and workshop performance
What Will You Need?
Trade qualification in Mechanical, Fabrication, Boilermaking,
or a related Engineering discipline
Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor, Leading Hand, or similar leadership role
Strong understanding of workshop planning, scheduling, labour allocation, and resource management
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver productivity, quality, and safety outcomes
Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation and risk management practices
Solid leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
Computer literacy with experience using ERP or manufacturing systems
Current Driver's Licence
Current Forklift Licence (essential)
Dogging, Rigging, EWP, or other High Risk Work Licences highly regarded
