We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team and help us navigate the complexities of global commerce.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager we are seeking an experienced and dedicatedTax Specialistto manage all aspects of Vuly's tax compliance, reporting, and planning across multiple countries, including Australia, USA, EU, and multiple other countries.
This role is essential in ensuring Vuly Play maintains strong financial health and meets regulatory requirements across all our international operations.
Key Responsibilities
Global Tax Compliance & Reporting:
Prepare and manage Australian corporate income tax returns, FBT returns and relevant state taxes.
Manage multi-jurisdictional indirect tax obligations, including AU BAS/GST, international VAT an complex US State Sales Tax filings.
Oversee corporate tax compliance for our international subsidiaries across Northern America, Europe and Asia coordinating smoothly with external local advisors.
Prepare and manage tax provisions for financial reporting (AASB/IFRS)
Drive our R&D; tax incentive claims, partnering with engineering and product teams to capture eligible expenditures.
Tax Planning, Transfer Pricing & Strategy:
Own our transfer pricing documentation, ensuring intercompany agreements and cross-border transactions remain compliant and commercially viable.
Provide expert tax advisory on new business initiatives, supply chain structures, and potential market expansion.
Identify and implement tax-saving strategies and efficiencies across the group's global operations.
Audit, Risk & Process Improvement:




Act as the primary point of contact for internal/external tax audits and inquiries from the ATO and foreign tax authorities.
Monitor domestic and international legislative changes, proactively assessing their impact on Vuly Play.
Partner with the broader finance team to automate and streamline tax-related workflows and month-end close processes.
General Finance Support:
Assist the Finance Manager with complex accounting matters and month-end close processes.
Improve and automate tax-related processes and documentation.
What We're Looking For
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated tax accounting experience, ideally featuring a blend of Big 4/Mid-Tier advisory and commercial in-house roles.
Global Exposure: Proven, hands‐on experience managing complex tax compliance and obligations across multiple jurisdictions (specifically Australia, North America, and the UK/EU).
Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of international transfer pricing frameworks, corporate tax structures, and financial reporting (AASB/IFRS).
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex tax legislation into actionable, plain-English strategies for non-financial stakeholders.
