Olivotto & Young Pty Ltd is seeking a talentedStructural Engineer (Graduate)to join our growing engineering team in Brisbane.
This is a full-time position based in Brisbane, Queensland.
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will work under the mentorship of experienced professionals, applying your theoretical knowledge and developing practical expertise in structural design and analysis.
This role is fundamental to our delivery of high-quality structural engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
You will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to projects from conception through to completion, whilst building a strong foundation for your engineering career.

Key responsibilities
Conducting structural analysis and design using industry-standard software and methodologies
Prepare structural drawings, calculations and technical documentation under supervision
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other professionals to deliver integrated design solutions
Performing site inspections and investigations to assess structural conditions and requirements
Perform calculations and modelling using industry-standard structural software and tools
Support the development of cost-effective structural solutions
Contribute to project meetings and liaisons with clients and stakeholders
Maintain awareness of relevant Australian Standards, building codes and regulatory requirements
Participate in career development activities and seek guidance from senior team members
What we're looking for
Recent graduate or final-year student with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia (Citizenship/Residency or valid work visa)
Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and design principles
Proficiency or willingness to quickly develop proficiency in structural analysis and design software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from senior engineers
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Membership or eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia is advantageous
A current Queensland driver's licence (or the ability to obtain one)
