Semmens Transport is seeking experiencedBrisbane/Sydney MC Linehaul Driversto join our growing team.
This is afull-time positionbased in Darra, QLD ****, offering the opportunity to operate on major interstate routes between Brisbane and Sydney.
As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight across these key corridors, playing a vital role in our logistics operations and ensuring our customers receive their goods reliably and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Operating articulated or rigid trucks on interstate linehaul routes between Brisbane and Sydney
Safely transporting freight in compliance with all road transport regulations and company policies
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and roadworthiness
Maintaining accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and vehicle maintenance records
Adhering to prescribed driving hours and rest period regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements
Loading and unloading freight as required, or coordinating with warehouse teams
Maintaining professional appearance and conduct when interacting with customers and the public
Reporting any vehicle defects, accidents or safety concerns promptly to management
Contributing to a safe and positive workplace culture
What we're looking for
Valid MC (Medium Combination) or HC/HC/MC licence currently held and in good standing
Current Heavy Vehicle Driving Authorisation from the relevant state authority
Proven experience as a linehaul or long-haul truck driver on interstate routes




Excellent knowledge of Australian road transport regulations and fatigue management laws
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to conduct basic vehicle maintenance checks
Outstanding safety record with no serious traffic violations or demerit points
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in challenging conditions
Strong communication and customer service skills
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks as required
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude with a commitment to safety
Familiarity with modern transport management systems and GPS technology (preferred)
First aid or advanced first aid certification (preferred)
