The Role
As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key retail partnerships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the commercial success of product launches across PLAION's own group labels and third-party publishing partners. This role is ideal for a results-driven, collaborative individual with a passion for games and a solid track record in sales or account management.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with national retailers to drive long-term business growth.
Revenue & Sales Performance: Meet and exceed sales targets through tailored account strategies and identifying new opportunities.
Product Launch Execution: Partner with cross-functional teams and retail accounts to ensure successful, on-time launches.
Retail Negotiation: Lead pricing, promotional, and stock management discussions to maximise portfolio growth.
Market Insights: Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and sales data to inform business decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including marketing, supply chain, and finance.
Reporting & Forecasting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts, performance reports,
and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Promotional Planning: Develop and implement impactful retail promotions in line with brand strategy.
What You'll Bring
Experience & Knowledge
Minimum 3 years in account management, sales, or business development—ideally within video games, licensed product, entertainment, or FMCG.
Understanding of retail, e-commerce, and digital distribution channels.
Knowledge of market trends, product lifecycle management, supply chain coordination, and commercial performance tracking.
Skills
Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Excellent relationship-building capabilities with both internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with experience in reporting, forecasting, and data interpretation.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and sales analytics tools.
Able to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
