Collier and Miller is here to help you source and supply a huge range of specialty and consumer products within the Agricultural, Engineering and industrial sectors. We are currently seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Painter to join our manufacturing department at Griffith NSW. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools
Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.
Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns
Knowledge of various painting methods and applications
Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques,



masking and etching of applications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches and drawings
Protected operation of tools and equipment
Grinding, sanding and polishing of steel
Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing and putting them in to practice
Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods

Skills & Abilities
Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant
Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevant or similar field
Ability to work in a team workplace

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience Full time Position available
