Well-established Australian owned company operating for 70 + years would like to give an opportunity for a suitable person to join a manufacturing team in our Warriewood based workshop.

QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE BUT NOT NECESSERY
Australian recognized Trade Qualification as a First-Class Machinist
CNC operator and programmer with over 3 years of experience.
Programming experience with SolidWorks software
Programming experience with ESPRIT or similar software
Experience with DMG MORI 5-axis machines or similar.
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for this position !

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Programming/setting & operating various CNC machines for production of specialised metal components
Understand/read technical drawings and specifications
Perform inspections to ensure conformance
Review CAM-generated toolpaths and optimise cycle times




Troubleshoot machine issues, tool wear, and alarms
Collaborate with production supervisor & staff to improve workflow
Maintaining tight tolerances.
Use and understanding of precision measuring tools (e.g. micrometres, vernier callipers and other CMM equipment) to verify accuracy and quality
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and production schedules.
Willingness to learn and adapt within a fast-paced, team-oriented workshop workplace.
